who dat!!

Another full weekend of football!! The Saints had their first (regular) season game today, and we had a blast at the game (winning sure doesn't hurt!)! I will say that watching the MSU game last night was not nearly as stressful as last year, but the Saints game was even more stressful--so all of my game "nervousness" has just transferred teams =)!

Can't wait until the next home game!! GEAUX SAINTS!!! here are some pics from gameday:

Porter was definitely in awe when we first got there:

no, I do not know these nice girls, but Porter loved them and took this picture all by himself!! I was taking pics of him and he asked to see the camera (he really likes taking pictures these days), he then proceeded to turn around and tell them to say "cheese"...this is the first picture by porter that has ever turned out! (he usually has the camera turned the wrong way and just ends up taking closeup pics of his face ;)

needless to say he was WORN out! can't wait until the next home game!

some observations from the game:

1. ryan should ALWAYS listen to me when it comes to directions
2. the superdome is cold (luckily ryan was at the tulane game the night before and had warned me!) the girl that sat beside me obviously knew this too since she brought a BLANKET!
3. superdome food is GOOD
   
4. men will not follow directions
5. the "saintsations" are no dallas cowboy cheerleaders--they're not even on the same level as msu pom squad!
6. porter (and ryan) still liked them ;)
7. people will pay more for one beer than an entire six pack costs
   
8. the "jumbo tron" isn't really that jumbo--especially compared to msu's monstrosity
9. men cannot follow simple directions printed on the parking pass, but insist on going the way they "know"
   
10. that way is not faster
11. first football game i've ever sat WITH ryan--it was fun, porter definitley enjoyed sitting with daddy!
    
12. drew brees is awsome
13. superdome seats are comfortable

football time

Porter and I went to Starkville this past weekend for the Mississippi State/Jackson State game!
We had a great time and got to see lots of friends who we haven't seen in a while! Porter Loved the game and was so good the entire weekend! Hopefully we'll make it back up to a few more!

It was definitely weird being there without Ryan, but we were happy to see our friends who still work there get a big win!

Porter and Paula on Friday night at The Veranda--Porter loves Paula, and hadn't seen her in months! with Courtney who we haven't seen in over a year!!

**the day before, we went to the junction to set up our tent, and as soon as we got out of the car, Porter kept pointing to the stadium and yelling, "daddy footbaww, daddy footbaww!!" He was so excited about being back at the stadium =)

after the rain--we were soaked! It started raining hard right as everyone else was trying to get into the stadium/to their seats and we were stuck! we tried to get to the concourse but ended up standing in the pouring rain for about 10minutes before we could get to cover! I was miserable but Porter loved every minute of it, the BOY that he is!

all the excitement wore Porter out! He fell asleep about mid-way through the 3rd quarter and slept for about an hour in the seats at the tailgate!
