Happy Birthday Natalie!!!

Happy Happy Day, Natalie!!
We all hope you have a great 26th Birthday!!
She may kill me for posting this picture ;)
This was from our trip to Destin: May '06! It seems like forever ago--but boy was it fun!!

visiting with the horses!

There is a small barn with horses and the edge of Aunt Liz's and Uncle Matt's neighborhood. Porter loved going to visit the horses with Kensi!
Petting the horse for the first time:

Christmas in Charlotte

We got up EARLY (4am!) on Christmas Eve to drive to Charlotte, NC to spend Christmas with Ryan's family. Porter did GREAT on the 9 hour drive and slept most of the time (except to eat breakfast outside of Atlanta!)
right outside of Atlanta, Porter woke up--he heard Ryan open some candy, and immediately: woke up, took out passy, and put his little hand out to ask for some! He really liked sour patch kids:

When we arrived in Charlotte, we were greeted by Wonder Woman, aka cousin Erin!

Porter--happy to be celebrating Christmas with his cousins

Ryan had to sit at the kids table for Christmas Eve Dinner

The cousins: Kensi, Erin, Porter

Porter, sleepy and on the princess pull out couch!

Christmas Morning!!
Erin's train was a big hit with Porter!!

In the hammock--Kensi & Erin were pretending to be asleep =)

Porter the daredevil!

The MSU Athletic department (who Ryan works for!) had it's Christmas Party on Sunday so me & Porter went! Ryan had to work (seriously) during the party but did manage to sneak over for about 20 minutes to see us =)
The party was great!! Santa was there (big hit with Porter!) and they had big blow up inflatables set up on the indoor practice field (it was held at the Palmeiro Center). Porter had a great time, and played HARD for two hours straight!
Like I said, Santa was a big hit! This is Porter's third time to see Santa this year, and he's starting to catch on that if he sits on Santa's lap, you get a Candy Cane--he literally dove out of my arms into Santa's at the party! But of course he wouldn't smile for the camera until he got his candy cane =)
We also went to the mall in Tupelo last night and saw Santa and got a GREAT picture...then somehow LOST it before we made it home!! I was so upset, but glad to get another today!

Porter also LOVED the BIG blow up slide! The first time, my friend Natalie went down with him, but he wanted to go by himself--and suprisingly to me had to problems climbing up the slide or going down--wasn't scared one bit!! He probably did this 100 times or more!
Climbing up:

So excited to be at the top =)

Getting ready:

and down he goes!!!

A Wedding....AND a proposal!!!

Rachel is married!! She is now Mrs. Heath Robertson!!
The wedding was beautiful!! Porter ended up being my date and couldn't have been better! He was supposed to stay home with Daddy today, but since Daddy had to work, Porter got to dress up and go to the wedding!! He loved when Rachel & Heath walked back down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs.--He couldn't stop clapping for them!! He also really enjoyed the Cake(s)!!

Rachel & Heath Robertson

Me & the pretty bride!!

also known as Natalie!

Ok, so you saw the title: "A Wedding...AND a proposal"--so here's the story:
Rachel & Heath were about to leave so everyone gathered in front of the church to see them off and for Rachel to throw her bouquet. So a few of the single ladies gathered to catch the bouquet, but rachel threw it way behind them and this girl (pictured below) walked over and picked it up! THEN, her boyfriend got down on one knee and PROPOSED!! Right there!! It was the sweetest thing! EVERYONE (except Heath & Rachel) was shocked!! It was the sweetest thing! And I have no idea who these people are but they're a cute couple and I just couldn't resist taking their picture!!
It all happened so fast that I accidently cut off her head in the picture!

Rachel & Heath leaving (and that's the future bride on the left!)

more wedding pics...

me & Rachel (wow, I am really pale!)

Cutest date at the wedding! Maybe the messiest too!

Porter couldn't take his eyes off the beautiful bride ;)

Porter and his two favorite women! He through a fit everytime I was holding him and Emilia wasn't!! He only wanted her the entire time!

the perfect Christmas card photo...

...is IMPOSSIBLE with a very active 18 month old!!
I took Porter to campus to get some pics for our Christmas card this year. Our picture last year was of Porter with the egg bowl and was so cute (obviously that isn't happening this year ;) ) I had the PERFECT idea for a picture with all three of us this year, but that also wasn't happening!! So, with no other ideas, I decided that I'd just put a recent picture of Porter on it! Only I have no good recent pics where he isn't: dirty, crying, eating, hair messy, with someone else ....so off to campus we went to try and take some cute pics in his new Christmas outfit!
I probably took about 100 pictures with ONE, yes only ONE that would even work for our card!!
Here's some outtakes ;)
He thought the big ornaments were balls--I was about one second to late on this pic or it would have been the perfect picture...

laughing...to bad I wasn't in front of him!
***and I did brush his hair before we went but of course as soon as we got out there the wind started blowing at least 25 mph!

about what 75% of my pictures looked like--he'd turn and run everytime I got the camera up to take a picture:

being silly--hair still being blown straight up by the wind:

almost got a good one--he was too fast though and I cut off the top of his head!

serious Porter--again about a half a second late--I promise he was smiling when I took the picture!

He wanted to climb the light pole....
so I let him, figured I might get a smile that way!

FINALLY! climing the light pole worked and we got a (half-way) smile!
probably not the "perfect" picture but it'll work!!
***and don't worry (grandparents!), Emilia went with me and was holding him so he wouldn't fall off the light pole =)

Weekend in Pictures

Here's some pics from our weekend at home!
Porter loved having Daddy home all weekend to play with! Here they are watching the Steelers game on Sunday afternoon--Porter liked watching the game in his new shirt!

Brian is definitely Porter's new best friend!! He loved that his cell phone played music! Porter would dance and "sing" along to it--I got some of it on video and I'll try to post the video later--too cute!!

Everytime the music would stop he would immediately hand the phone back to Brian to make it play some more!

can you say, "BAD HAIR DAY??!"
I get this "mischievious" look alot these days!

"ELL-OOH"
Porter's new thing is grabbing our phones (making sure they're turned the right way first!) and saying "ell-ooh"! He thinks it's the funniest thing!
He also says "cheeee" whenever he sees the camera (I think he thinks that's what it's called!)

Porter & the Christmas tree...

Porter was out of town when I put up the Christmas tree, so when he got back on Sunday afternoon, it was one of the first things he saw! Needless to say he was so excited--especially to see all the "shiny and fun balls" on the tree!
I love this picture--he had just seen the tree and was saying "OOOHHH"

...then he saw the "balls"

so excited for Christmas time!

showing Daddy all the "balls"!

Thanksgiving

With so much going on around here, it feels like Thanksgiving was forever ago!! But I guess it's only been a week so I'm not too late getting some pics up!
Me and Porter went to Nana's house to spend the week and then have Thanksgiving with the Payne's (my mom's Dad's side of family). Poor Ryan had to stay and work so I drove back on Thursday afternoon and Porter got to stay with Aunt Tracey (my dad's sister) and his cousin Katie. He had A LOT of fun and it was nice for Mom & Dad to get a weekend alone! While Porter was gone, I was able to get the Christmas tree up (I'll post pics of Porter's first time seeing it soon!) I can't believe that Christmas season is here and football season is over! It seems like it was just starting up yesterday!!
Now the pics:
Porter is such a big boy in the swing!
Hayride with all of the cousins (all of these kids are actually in MY generation--Porter is the only one in his generation!)

Playing Fishing game at Nana's with his Lampkin cousins (Allison, Spencer, & Jackson)

He thought Coco's bed was pretty comfy! No need for the pack-in play at Nana's anymore =)
