Porter's first field trip

Porter had his first school field trip today! To the petting zoo farm and "pumpkin patch" ( I technically wouldn't call it a "patch"--basically a bunch of mini pumpkins in a small area ;))

It was HOT (100 degree heat index hot) but we had a good time! Porter loved feeding all the animals, the "hay ride" (again I believe they used their terms loosely), carousel, picnic, and play area (including the sand box that I had successfully kept him away from until right before we left!--I will have sand in my car for months now!)

4-0!!!!!

The Saints are 4-0!!! Who Dat! We are so excited here!!
Winning is so fun!!

Here are some pics from the last home game:

we ran into a mini parade on the way back to the superdome after lunch:

Can't wait for the Giants game next weekend!!

The fair comes to town!

The fair came to town a couple of weeks ago! Daddy was still out of town but Mimi was here, so we loaded up and went on the first night! Porter loved everything about it! The animals, the rides, the cotton candy ;) Porter is definitely a little daredevil and rode everything he could and wanted to ride everything he couldn't! He loved the big yellow slide and threw a fit the first time on it because he had to ride with mama and couldn't go by himself!! He is such a fun age right now!

The bumble bee was his favorite ride:
cotton candy is good!

Louisiana Children's Museum

A few weekends ago, it was National Museum Day, and several museums had free admission! So I figured what better day to take Porter to the Louisiana Children's Museum in New Orleans! I went when I was little and I still remember how much fun I had! It was neat to go back more than 20 years later and see alot of the same exhibits and activities! Porter had a blast, and thanks to Mimi for buying us a yearly pass so we can enjoy the museum a lot morhis year!!

we got there a few minutes before they opened, and you can see Porter was READY:

The first exhibit he saw, and I didn't think we'd ever get him to leave:
