TROUBLE!

Yesterday morning while I was packing, cleaning & trying to get ready to leave, I noticed Porter was being awfully quiet--and usually that means he's into something he's not supposed to! Well this is how I found him in the kitchen--in the "snack" drawer! I had even hidden the chocolate under dishtowels but Porter was too smart for that! As soon as I turned the corner, and he realized he had been caught he started saying "no, no, no" and shaking his head. Either he knew he was in trouble or he was telling me "no, please don't take this hershey kiss away from me!"

Also, look and see Porter's new slippers (you may have to click on pic to enlarge)! They're footballs! I bought them last week while out shopping in Tupelo and thought afterward, "I shouldn't have spent nearly $10 on a pair of slippers for Porter cause he'll never keep them on!" Well I was wrong--he LOVES them! If he accidently kicks one off he immediately grabs it and brings it to me to put back on! They're balls AND shoes! Two of Porter's favorite things!!

Last MSU home game!

We were so glad we won our last home game!! Even though it was cold, Porter had a great time at his last game this season!!
Tailgating wears him out:
We were not so sure about Bully--he looks fun from far away but not so fun when he's holding you! He didn't cry but he didn't actually smile either!

Tag--I'M it!

So Emily tagged me with the "kreativ blogger award" and I have to list 6 interesting (or maybe not so interesting) things about myself and tag 6 (or how ever many I can come up with...) others to do the same!

So here goes:

  1. I HATE HATE HATE Potatoes--any kind, any way you cook 'em-I HATE 'em!! Mashed, baked, chips, french fries, in caserole's, etc. I do not like potatoes and never have! My earliest memory (I do believe) is when I was about 3 or so and my dad telling me the only way I could have chocolate pudding for dessert was by eating my mashed potatoes--I remember vividly crying and not getting any pudding =( I also hate any "southern" food--greens, dressing, fried chicken, dumplings, etc. YUCK--Thanksgiving is not so fun for me! I do love casserole's though--the more cheese the better!

  2. I can say all 50 states in alphabetical order in under a minute (yes I just timed myself outloud). It came from the song we had to learn in fifth grade and just stuck! I used to be able to do the same with the books of the bible (from vacation bible school) but now can only get about halfway through the Old Testament before I need to cheat!

  3. I have NEVER been a bridesmaid though I came close recently. I know that sounds sad and like I don't have any friends but really most of my close group of friends are still single or either had really small weddings! This is fine by me--I didn't have any bridesmaids when I got married!

  4. I am really good with numbers & dates. I ususally don't forget birthdays, etc. though now facebook makes it real easy! I also love math and took college algebra and calculus as electives in college.

  5. I hate to drive-anywhere. In fact it took me three years in college to figure out Starkville and where everything was because I was never the one driving! Luckily for me my best friend (Emilia) has to be the one driving so if we're going anywhere together there is no question on who is driving! I should buy a carseat to put in her car so I don't always have to keep changing Porter's out!

  6. I love board games!! All kinds and even cards too! I get it from my mom--she always made me and my brother play games with her growing up! Luckily I married someone who loves them as much as I do--in fact when he proposed (on Christmas) he gave me two board games since we both love them so much! I can't wait for Porter to be old enough where we force him to play since most board games need more than two people!

Ok now I tag Natalie, Rachel, Emily-Anne, Emily Reed, Ashley & Mandi

Ticklish Boy!

Porter is VERY ticklish under his neck (he gets it from his daddy)! You can ask him "Porter, where are you ticklish?" and he immediately grabs his neck and starts laughing! That's about the only way I can get him to smile for the camera nowadays =)

In other news, Porter stayed with a babysitter last night while I went to the Alabama game. When I got home Sarah said he had been good and that he went to bed around 8pm. Well I need to find out what Sarah did so I can do it because he did not wake up until 10:30 this morning!!! And even then I had to go and wake him up! It was nearly his lunch time!! I'm glad my late sleeper is back ;) Hopefully he's now adjusted to the time change and we can sleep past 7am!

TIME OUT!!!

Look at that sweet face! I know you're thinking "how could he ever do anything BAD??!" Well, he can--lots lately! Porter's time out is the second step on the stairs sitting beside the wall--he knows when I say time out that he has to sit there until I tell him to get up! When I first tried "time-out", I couldn't believe that he would stay and not get up (now he does scream & cry when he's sitting there, but does not even try to get up so he knows he's there for a reason!). I was shocked that he didn't just get up, but so far it's worked very well! For some reason he loves to play in his "time-out" area--as much as he hates being there when he's forced to, he loves to play and just sit there from time to time! He also likes to put his toys in timeout during the day, especially "Iggy"! Who knew time out could be so much fun?!

lately...

We really enjoyed our bye week & weekend "off" doing pretty much nothing!!

We went to Smith's house Saturday afternoon to watch the Alabama/LSU game

Smith is getting so big!! He's going to catch up to Porter real quick! Porter still isn't too sure about Smith though ;) He still acts kind of scared of him! He'll be crawling around before you know it and Porter will probably think he's more fun then =)

I love Porter & Smith's faces in this picture!

On Sunday we watched the Steeler's game:

Porter woke up from his nap ready for the game!

A RARE SIGHT!!!
Porter woke up early on Sunday and after his bath was very fussy & tired--after I changed & dressed him he grabbed his blankie and night-night (passy) and wanted me to hold him--so sweet! Porter NEVER wants to be rocked or held anymore so I gladly stopped what I was doing to rock him to sleep!

We really enjoyed Ryan being home all weekend--even though we pretty much did nothing!

I've been kinda busy today sewing, so this is a little late but Porter wants to wish his Mimi (My mom) a very very happy Birthday!! We won't say how old she is ;)

Porter knew it was your birthday and woke up especially happy today!

We love you and can't wait to see you again soon!!
