Happy Turkey Day!!

We spent a week at Nana's with the cousins and Porter had the BEST time--we all did!!

Ryan did a lot of this...

Porter did a lot of this...
(he followed Allison EVERYWHERE...and constantly asked, where allison??)

On Thanksgiving day, we went on A LOT of hayrides...Porter couldn't get enough:

On one hayride, we went to the barn...Porter really wanted to climb up in the top with the big kids...
unfortunatly daddy was with us, and we knew he would FREAK OUT! HA!

Porter had to settle for a walk around the barn with daddy:

**don't worry, when we went back, I let Porter climb up, don't tell Ryan!
(it was totally safe, and cousin Spencer held his hand the ENTIRE time)

Thanksgiving night, and everyone at Nana's:

We can't wait until next year!!

I will say it was so much fun to have Ryan at Thanksgiving!  This is the one holiday where almost all of our family who live off, get to visit, and Ryan had never been (since this is Egg Bowl week)!

And speaking of the Egg Bowl, GO DAWGS!!!

***Please note that I stole "borrowed" this picture from the Clarion Ledger & Rick Guy

If you're Thankful and you know it...

Here's the video of Porter's Thanksgiving program...Ryan was the cameraman ;)

My Little Turkey!

Porter had a Thanksgiving program at his school last week, and it was so much fun!
He was so good!  I couldn't believe how still he was on stage!!  The other kids were running around, but Porter just stood there!  He looked a little suprised, and was looking for us in the crowd =)  We were glad he didn't see us, because then he probably would have wanted off that stage!

Walking on the stage:

Getting ready to perform!

he was great at clapping:

and stomping:

after the program, we had a Thanksgiving meal with the parents, and other students:

Porter especially loved the sweet potatoes...

...and the cake
(sorry for the full mouth picture..I went to take his picture not realizing he had a MOUTH full of food =))

10-0!! who dat?!

We are super excited that the S@ints are 10-0!!  Here's a picture of the M0nday Night Football game against the F@lcons!
We can't wait for the MNF game next week against the Pats!!!

Porter- 2 1/2!

I cannot believe our "baby" is 2 1/2!  Where has the time gone??!

Porter is so fun these days and is doing so much:
  • he goes to school 3 days a week (all day) and LOVES it!  he asks to go to school on his off days!
  • still has his green blanket!  I'm beginning to think we might take it to first grade!
  • speaks in sentences (though it's hard to understand most of the time!)
  • can be very bossy sometimes--wonder where he gets THAT from!? ha!
  • loves his daddy, and does not leave his side when he's home =)
  • loves to sleep! and he's in his big boy bed now
  • still won't get out of bed until I come get him in the mornings (except for 3am one morning when he got up to tell me to shut the door because "light" was coming in his room!)
  • which brings up: will NOT sleep with a night light or ANY light in his room--he likes it to be completely dark!
  • knows all of his colors, can count, and knows some letters
  • loves mickey mouse, dora, barney, cars, etc.
  • loves spiderman
  • loves anything to do with the movie cars
  • loves animals
  • will eat just about anything ;)
  • likes to read books and has his favorites ("no biting" "little miss spider") memorized!
  • loves to be at home--he is a homebody!  when I pick him up from school he wants to go straight HOME!  No park, no store, nothing until we at least go home for a little while!
  • loves football and the saints especially!  He loves going to the games and cheering, and looking for "gumbo" the (dog) mascot =)
  • loves "duck, duck, goose", and asks to play ALL of the time
  • he also loves playing "hide and seek"
  • thinks he's "funny"
  • loves going to the movies and does so good in the theater!
  • doesn't like to sleep anywhere but his bed!  refuses to sleep in the bed with us (thank goodness!)
  • hates wearing clothes
  • hates shoes on when he's inside, but refuses to go outside without them
  • he is so much fun everyday!!

Giddy Up

Porter LOVED his costume!  We thought he was going to be going as spiderman, until we got to target and he saw this costume!  As soon as we got home, he begged to put it on!  As soon as he did, he started running around the room in it, saying "giddy up!"
