Porter is becoming such a "big boy" and not a baby anymore!
Here are some of the things he's doing and some favorite's:
talking up a storm and adding new words daily--he seems to be talking so much more just in the last two weeks
knows all his animals, body parts, etc.
is starting to potty train
loves mickey mouse (and mickey mouse clubhouse--we have to watch it daily!)
LOVES to be outside, and would stay out there all day long
loves his daddy--and pretty much only wants mommy when she's not there! he wakes up asking for "daadee"
still sleeps with green blankie but not as attached to it as he once was...he'll still occasionally ask for it but it's usually when he's tired
loves eating meat now (steak, chicken, seafood) he LOVES him some steak!
tantrums seem to be getting less
loves to give kisses now
loves playing with other kids
is not shy at all, and will talk to anyone!
warms up to all people fast
loves to dance
still a fan of barney--ugh! we've tried to turn him on to other stuff ;)
does NOT like to be held
does like to be read to, and loves his books
can tell you he's "two" but still working on holding up two fingers--usually we hold up three!
uses his spoon/fork to eat
loves eggs and grits for breakfast
likes his "nacks"--snacks!
sleeps alot (12-13 hours a night)
doesn't take a nap everyday but when he does, they're long (3-4hours)
loves to swim and play in the water
likes babies!
says "lub u, mama, daddy, etc." (love you mama--so sweet when he says it)
talks himself to sleep, saying goodnight to everyone! (mama, daddy, mimi, pop, kensi, matt, liz, mickey, nana, papa, coco, etc....he goes through a long list of "nite-nite's")
and so much more that I'm sure I'm forgetting--he's so much fun!!
Ryan's best friend from Indiana, PA (where Ryan grew up) got married over the weekend! Porter & Ryan were in the wedding--ring bearer and best man respectively and we had a great, fun-filled weekend seeing everyone!
Here we are at the rehearsal dinner:
Porter loved the flower girl, Eliza--here he (with the bride, molly) is trying to get a kiss...
and he succeeds!with Molly--I thought it was really neat that she wore her mom's wedding gown for the rehearsal--so sweet =)
Ryan and the groom, Steve
lots of dancing with Eliza--this was just the begining of what was to come at the reception!
the boys--Porter loved hanging out with Steve
"cheese"
playing pool:
and shuffle board (with daddy and Brian-another groomsman) Porter also LOVED Brian!
pre-wedding family pic:
Porter was proud of his "sooooot" we were worried how he would act, since when I tried it on him in the store he had a MELTDOWN, but he loved getting all dressed up like daddy!
getting ready to walk down the aisle--say "cheeeese" Porter!
waiting on the bride ;)
Porter had to be bribed with gummies for the actual ceremony! but he (and eliza) did so good!!
Porter really thought the reception was all for him--he's such a little ham ;)
table 12 =)
they are just adorable!
they were soooo sweet to each other and so cute!
a beautiful rainbow during the reception the weather was supposed to be rainy, but the rain held off ALL DAY and it was beautiful! They could not have asked for a more perfect day--including this rainbow midway through the reception!!
first dance:
Porter's first dance:
he was a dancing machine:
see!:
even more dancing:
he didn't want to let "lolly" go--he became quite attached, and the first thing he woke up saying the morning after the wedding was, "where lolly??" "I want lolly"!
a BIG Lion--maybe a little too close for Daddy's comfort:
...and alot more sleeping animals--they must've been really tired that day ;)
***a funny story from our trip to the zoo*** I'll preface this by saying, we've been in the early stages of Potty training with Porter (by his choice--not ours! He's really interested in using the potty so we're not going to ignore it!!) and needless to say he's just a little fascinated by it and going #1 and #2 in the potty--well we had just had our first #2 experience in Pittsburgh and boy was he soooo proud of himself! Well as we were at the zoo, we were watching all the elephants (with a large group of people I might add) when one of the larger elephants had to "go"...ALOT. Immediately, you hear groans from the large crowd, followed by Porter (screaming)--"HE POOP!! HE POOP!! MAMA, EFFANT POOP!" and then he started clapping! All weekend, when everyone asked him what he saw at the zoo, he would say "poop...effeeffant poop"
