my little helper

I mentioned in the last post that I have been sewing! Pretty much non-stop for the past week!

I've updated the website some, but still have a ton more pics to post (hopefully tomorrow!)--so go check them out here!

Since Porter takes only one nap, and I've had much more sewing to do than I can get done in that small amount of time, he's been hanging out with me in the sewing room!
He's good for the most part =)
Today I put on spongebob and let him sit in his Puppy chair and watch tv while I sewed!
I looked over and he was almost asleep in his chair--too cute. Of course when I went to take his picture he shot up, took the passy out, and started saying "cheeeeeesee"--guess he's been told to "say, cheese porter!" one too many times ;)

my sweet valentine

Here's my valentine this year!

I couldn't ask for a better valentine! Ryan had to leave Feb. 13th for the NFL combine for two weeks, so me and Porter spent a lazy weekend at home!
Lucky for me Porter goes to bed at 6, becuase after 2 days when a very active 20 month old by myself, I needed some rest! I was in bed by 7:00 valentine's (saturday!) night!!

Ryan will also be gone while we move (or I guess I should say while I MOVE!). Lucky for me my dad and brother are coming to help--I don't think they've realized what they've gotten themselves into!
Yes, we are moving in 11 days and I have yet to pack up one room in this house! Mainly because I've been sewing like crazy!! Almost all orders that I plan on having done before the move have been mailed out--so I'm hoping to have a crazy weekend of PACKING!!
At least Porter's always a big help ;)

family pics!!

You may have seen me post about Jenny before (she did Porter's birth annoucement & first birthday invite's) and she's also a GREAT photographer!!
We had some family pics on saturday, and they turned out GREAT!! I LOVE THEM!! They definitely capture Porter's little personality! It is going to be so hard to pick out which ones I want!
You can see all of our pictures here!!

Congrats Ryan!!

A BIG congrats to my husband, Ryan!! He just got a new job with the New Orleans Saints!! I am so proud and excited for him!! We love Starkville and Mississippi State, but we could not be happier about this new and exciting opportunity!
We will be moving away from Starkville soon, and it will be sad to leave all of our friends! But I can't wait to live near New Orleans!!!
We went to dinner last night to celebrate before Ryan had to leave for New Orleans:

CONGRATS RYAN!! WE LOVE YOU!!

superbowl!!

We went to Smith's house to watch the superbowl and Porter had a great time! So much fun that he slept until 10:30 Monday morning!! I'm thinking the Superbowl should happen a few more times a year if that's always going to be the case!!
On the way to watch the game--he LOVES this "helmet" (I actually think it's supposed to be a bowl?!) and carries it around all day long!

Porter was a little more interested in Smith's toys, than "baaabeee" Smith himself!
"baaabeee"

"mom, why is he grabbing me??" It is so funny to see Porter with a baby younger than him! He's definitly getting back all the torture he put on his cousins at Christmas!!

sweet

It's hard to tell in these pictures, but Smith is almost as big as Porter--and he's 14 months YOUNGER!! He's going to catch up to Porter in no time!!

Daddy and Porter at the end of the game--both were a little tired, but very happy with the outcome!! It got a little close there at the end ;)

to the hump, for HOOPS!

Ryan had to work a football recruiting weekend this weekend, and part of the events was to go to the basketball game today. So me and Porter met him up there to watch MSU and Ole Miss. This was Porter's first basketball game this season and he LOVED it!! We got there a little early, and I was nervous that he would quickly get bored and be ready to go by the time the game started, but he had the best time! We were sitting next to the band, which he loved, and he loved seeing the players warming up with all the balls! That is what he is watching in the first pic =) AND, they had dogs performing at half time!! That may have been Porter's favorite part of the day! I was holding him and he kept reaching for everyone in front of me, and we all soon realized, that he was trying to get closer to the dogs! It was a fun day, and I can't wait to take him back--hopefully for a win next time ;)
He watched like this for at least 15 minutes!
of course I just HAD to make him a shirt to wear to his first game this season =)

rub-a-dub-dub

Porter LOVES being in the Tub!!

He especially loves to have water poured over his head!!?! (seriously, what kid likes that?!) He used to HATE it and would scream every time he even saw a cup coming near him, but a few weeks ago when I was washing his hair, I made a big deal and clapped when we poured water on his head, and now he loves it! He thinks it's a fun game, and threw a fit tonight when we stopped!

waiting on it...
here it comes...

"this is so fun!!"

again, again!

It's been awhile...

It's been awhile , and we've been BUSY!!

First off, the Steelers are going to the superbowl!! Yay!! We're so excited!

Here's some pics of Porter and Ryan watching the AFC championship game...Porter was so funny, he would make all the same faces/sounds Ryan made during the game. He would clap and yell at the TV! We also just got som of his halloween pictures back signed by TROY POLAMALU! If you don't remember, Porter was Troy for halloween!!
Good thing the jersey still fits, he'll be wearing it for the superbowl!!

Steelers are number ONE!!!

This is what Porter can do in 5 minutes...

As I was in the dining room catching up on emails, Porter went to the kitchen and was so quiet, I knew he was into something...
This is what I saw:
Porter refuses to play with toys, and would rather dig in all the cabinets/drawers that he can get into...as evident in the picture above. He is definitely a handful these days and I'm amazed at what he can destroy in under a minute!
